Blazing Through Fall In A 1969 Porsche
Posted on 08 October 2008 by Chris
There’s a reason aircooled cars love the Minnesota air. It’s cool, fresh and crisp. The car feels happier here. I had this Porsche in Florida for quite a while and it just wasn’t right. Stop and go, stop and go, people everywhere! That’s not motoring to me. I finally couldn’t take it anymore. I adjusted the valves, tuned the carbs and drove it to Minnesota where I grew up. The little 912 is right at home here.
Alot of great drives have great music. Hit the play button and check out the photo’s.
Fresh Out Of Storage & It Started Right Up!

I drove this car 22 miles this morning through sweeping curves, over hills with leaves billowing up behind me as I play music through the exhaust via the 4 speed transmission. I took my wife to her favorite spot to look up at the burning fall colors. And, of course I had my camera with to capture it.

You didn’t tell me you got around to owning 912′s.
Mine lives in Sarasota now. I agree with Minnesota.
You really need A/C in Florida.
Cheers

I finally found my 69 in Michigan last January. I love it. My 68 I picked up in Orlando and it’s a great car too. 1968 was the last year for the front wing window’s and they come in handy in FL heat.
