Gumpert… Huh?

Imagine with me, you pull your supercar into the fueling station, pop the gullwing door and slither your way out with as much style as possible. The 19 year old brunette across the fueling island says, “I like your car, what is it?”. You reply it’s a Gumpert. Who? She wasn’t asking for your Great Grandfathers middle name was she?

You wouldn’t expect a car manufacturer named Gumpert to produce something like this:

But it’s true. The Gumpert Apollo is now available for sale in the US at this link.

The Apollo boasts 650bhp and 627ft lbs of torque coming from a 4.2l V8. The car only weighs in at 2425lbs so you can imagine the ride is thrilling.
